“If the theatrics are supposed to scare me, you have the wrong man Bond …” |
The Casino Royale movie is based on Ian Fleming’s novel of the same name and introduces Daniel Craig for the first time as James Bond 007.
Bond is on a mission to track down terrorists and the hunt takes him from Madagascar to The Bahamas where he comes across Dimitrios (Abkarian) and his stunning girlfriend Solange (Murino).
Agent 007 learns that Dimitrios is involved with a banker to the world’s terrorist organisations, Le Chiffre (Mikkelsen). Bond is then sent to the Le Casino Royale in Montenegro, with Vesper Lynd (Green) who has been sent by M (Dench) to keep watch on Bond's actions.
James Bond then faces off against Le Chiffre in a high waging poker game which could destroy Le Chiffre’s organisation. Vesper and Bond become close as they face danger and torment in their attempts to outsmart Le Chiffre.
In the Casino Royale movie, Mathis (Giannini) and Felix Leiter (Wright) assist Bond in a drawn out pursuit that ends in spectacular fashion.

Madagascar
In the Casino Royale movie, James Bond visited
Madagascar to hunt down a bomb creator known as Mollaka. The dramatic chase
sequence in the city and through a large building site is astonishing.

Mollaka’s physical strength and agility is matched by 007’s uncanny ability to escape from a variety of situations. The pursuit ends at the Nambutu Embassy where Bond finally kills Mollaka and escapes by destroying a part of the building.
Solange
Solange was married to a dangerous terrorist and lived a
lonely life. One day, when riding her horse along a beach, she noticed Bond
coming out of the water and was engrossed in him. Sadly she later suffered an
excruciating death at the hands of Le Chiffre’s men.

The Bahamas
Bond travelled to The Bahamas where he came across the
dangerous Alex Dimitrios and his beautiful wife Solange. After 007 won a poker
match against Dimitrios, he became romantic with Solange who then provided Bond
with her husband’s next movements.
Le
Chiffre
The confidential banker to terrorist organisations, Le
Chiffre was the key villain of the Casino Royale movie, and had a
mathematical brain. This allowed him to win big on any game involving
probability or chance, including poker.
Mads Mikkelsen is Le Chiffre

Le Chiffre had been gambling with his client’s funds and, thanks to Bond’s involvement, had lost a huge sum of money. To recover the money he arranged a high stakes poker match at the Casino Royale in Montenegro.
Montenegro
Vesper and Bond travelled by train together to the
countryside of Montenegro. Filming actually took place in the Czech Republic -
their meeting with René Mathis taking place in the beautiful township of
Loket.

Felix Leiter
Leiter worked for the Central Intelligence Agency and
took part in the poker game in Montenegro. With 007 losing severely he assisted
Bond with a plan to turn things around. Leiter was then knocked out of the
tournament, but Bond won the final hand and defeated Le Chiffre.
Vesper
Lynd
The beautiful agent from the Treasury was assigned to keep an
eye on Bond and his handling of cash in a poker tournament.
Initially sceptical of Bond and his ways, Vesper began to trust 007 and saved his life when he was poisoned by Le Chiffre’s girlfriend, Valenka.

Abduction
Vesper and 007 celebrated the poker win by dining in a
restaurant at the Casino Royale. Vesper was later snatched by Le Chiffre and
Bond was lured into a deadly car crash. Subsequently they were both captured by
Le Chiffre who demanded the access code to the poker winnings.
Betting Big
Equipped with the newest Aston Martin DBS from MI6,
Agent 007 was entered into a high stakes poker contest in Montenegro. In the
Casino Royale movie, Bond faced off against the dangerous Le Chiffre with
an aim of winning big. The competition proved much tougher than Bond had ever
imagined.

Venice
The extraordinary climax to the Casino Royale movie
occurred in the stunning city of Venice. Vesper and 007 had travelled here for a
romantic holiday but it wasn't to be.
Agent 007 soon discovered that Vesper had actually stolen the poker winnings from Montenegro. He pursued her into a palazzo on the Grand Canal. However, the building soon began sinking and Vesper ultimately sacrificed herself after becoming trapped in a lift.
Lake Como
After undergoing torture at the hands of Le Chiffre, Bond
was miraculously rescued by Vesper - the mysterious Mr White had killed Le
Chiffre moments before 007 was to be castrated. Bond then recovered in Italy at
the stunning Villa del Balbianello on Lake Como with Vesper by his side.

Final Message
It turned out that Vesper had left Mr White’s number
in her mobile phone for Bond to find. With this information 007 tracked down the
villain at his lavish villa on Lake Como and captured him.
