The New James Bond Movie is Skyfall

The new James Bond movie, Skyfall, will be released in late 2012. The film's title was revealed at a media conference on November 3rd 2011 at the Corinthia Hotel in London, United Kingdom.

The film will be produced by veteran 007 film producers Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli and directed by prominent English director Sam Mendes. The movie will see the return of Daniel Craig as James Bond and Dame Judi Dench as M.

Other significant castings present at the official media conference were Javier Bardem (No Country For Old Men), Naomie Harris (28 Days Later) and French actress and model Bérénice Marlohe.

The 007 producers also announced the cast members Ralph Fiennes (The Constant Gardener), Albert Finney (Big Fish) and Ben Whishaw (Bright Star).

Two further additions to the new James Bond movie are British actress Helen McCrory and Swedish actor Ola Rapace.

Bérénice Marlohe will play a character with a dark side called Sévérine and Javier Bardem the main villain, Silva, a complex character who makes 007's life difficult.

Ben Whishaw will reprise the famous role of gadget master Q, previously played by Desmond Llewelyn and John Cleese. Naomi Harris will portray an accomplished field agent called Eve whilst Helen McCrory will be playing a British member of parliament.

Ola Rapace will play a mysterious character known as Patrice whilst Ralph Fiennes will portray Mallory, a government agent.

The screenwriters for Skyfall will be Neal Purvis, Robert Wade and John Logan. Sam Mendes mentioned Agent 007 would travel to several destinations including China, Scotland and Turkey. Filming has taken place in Turkey and various locations throughout the United Kingdom.

In a December 2011 interview Daniel Craig indicated the film will be one of the best in the series with fast-paced action with new and old characters.

The new James Bond movie, Skyfall, will be released in the United Kingdom and Ireland on October 26th 2012 and in the United States on November 9th 2012. The movie went into production on November 7th 2011 and will be the first 007 film to be released in IMAX.

Michael G Wilson also stated, "With Casino Royale we started on a path, we're sticking to that path of an interesting story, a great cast and plenty of action."

Renowned American composer Thomas Newman will provide the score for Skyfall. Some of his well-known film scores include The Lost Boys (1987), The Shawshank Redemption (1994), American Beauty (1999), Wall E (2008) and The Iron Lady (2011).

The latest addition to the cast is Greek actress Tonia Sotiropoulou who will play a secondary role as a Bond girl.

Press Conference in Turkey - April 2012

A press conference for the new James Bond movie was held in April 2012 in Istanbul, Turkey. Here, director Sam Mendes mentioned how the essence of Turkey would be captured in a short sequence during the film. Filming in Turkey for the movie has taken place in the cities of Istanbul and Adana.

Two of the vehicles that will feature in the movie are the Range Rover Evoque and the famous Aston Martin DB5.

The release of the latest Bond adventure will be a celebration of 50 Years of the James Bond movies.

The return of 007 will mark a four year break in the series after the 2008 film Quantum of Solace.
