The leading James Bond girl in Quantum of Solace (2008) is Camille Montes Rivero, a beautiful Russian-Bolivian woman portrayed by Ukrainian actress Olga Kurylenko.
Camille Montes is determined on killing General Medrano (Joaquin Cosío), a former chief of the Bolivian army, who brutally murdered her family when she was young. She becomes close to the devious Dominic Greene (Mathieu Amalric), the CEO of utility firm Greene Planet, in order to determine the whereabouts of Medrano.
In Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Camille collects James Bond (Daniel Craig) from outside the Hôtel Dessalines. At the time she believes 007 is the geologist Edmund Slate, a man working for Greene who is to sell her secret paperwork. She tells Bond he doesn’t look anything like she had expected and subsequently tries to kill him, but 007 escapes.
Camille Montes drives back to Greene at his Kings Quay warehouse on the Port-au-Prince docks. She still hopes she will be introduced to Medrano, despite knowing that Greene had tried to have her killed.

Greene deceives Camille who is whisked away in a speed boat with Medrano and his men. James Bond then crashes a fishing boat into their vessel, knocking them all down.
In dramatic fashion, 007 grabs hold of Camille and the pair take off in another boat. Medrano’s men give chase and in a spectacular action sequence, Bond and Camille take care of them in style.
Camille Montes travels to La Paz, Bolivia, and attends Greene Planet’s lavish Eco Park Charity Fundraiser. After Greene outlines the Tierra Project, which will rejuvenate degraded environmental land, Camille sets out to spoil his reputation among the elite guests.
When Greene tries to shove Camille off a balcony, Bond steps in at the opportune moment. Camille and 007 leave the party together and the following day take an aerial surveillance over the Bolivian desert to find out more about the Tierra Project.
Their Douglas DC-3 aircraft is shot down, but they make a miraculous escape and land in a desert sinkhole. Camille then tells Bond she wants to kill General Medrano as he shot her father, strangled both her mother and sister, and then set fire to the family home.

Agent 007 then apologises to Camille for denying her the chance to kill Medrano after he pulled her from Medrano’s speedboat in Haiti. The pair make their way out of the sinkhole and soon discover a large dam. They now realise Greene’s cunning plan - to control the water supplies of Bolivia.
After an arduous walk through the desert, Camille Montes and Agent 007 catch a local bus back to La Paz. Later, Camille aids 007 by picking him up from the Andean Grand Hotel.
Together they travel to the Perla de las Dunas Hotel in the desert of Bolivia in pursuit of Greene and Medrano. 007 goes after Greene whilst Camille has a vicious struggle with Medrano before killing him.
With the hotel on fire Camille shields herself from the flames before Bond arrives and holds her closely. He then shoots a hydrogen canister which explodes and leaves a massive hole in the wall allowing them to escape.
Camille Montes gives her gratitude to James Bond and tells him she wishes she could set him free, before leaving to take a train home.
